December Fun

We had an awesome week in First Grade! On Monday we decorated gingerbread houses.  I love how first graders get more frosting on their faces than on the houses! We had a classroom elf named Flash that did some pretty silly things.  We ended the week with Polar Express Day.  The kids looked so cute in their p.j.'s.  We watched Polar Express, had hot cocoa, and left with a "Believe Ticket" and sleigh bell!

Trying to escape?

Reading to friends.

Where does he think he's going?

Polar Express Day

We have had so much fun this week.  We've had a classroom Elf that watches us and hides in silly places.  Each child made an Elf Adventure journal.  Your child brought it home today.  Have him/her read it to you!!

On Thursday we made graham cracker candy houses.  Thank you for donating the candy and other items.

We ended the week with Polar Express Day.  Here are a few photos.

Thanks for the nice gifts.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

December Happenings: We had so much fun in December learning about reindeer, writing letters to Santa, looking for our class elf, making graham cracker houses, and studying The Polar Express!

Elfis: I'm sure you heard about our Elf On The Shelf, "Elfis."  He visited us for a couple of weeks.  Sometimes he was helpful and sometimes he was silly.  On the last day he left us some new crayons!

Candy Houses: Thanks to all of the parents that donated to our fun day.  Some of the students got more frosting on their clothes than on their houses!

Polar Express: story trains, hot chocolate, pajamas, and photo booth!
