Sundrops & Lollipops

This week we learned about matter.  We learned that matter is anything that takes up space.  We learned that matter can be a liquid, solid, or gas.  On Friday did come experiments to see how matter can change either chemically, or physically.  We turned a liquid to a solid by freezing water.  Then we heated the ice and it returned to a liquid.  For chemical changes we made pancakes!  The solid pancake mix was made into a liquid by adding water.  The liquid batter was heated and changed into a solid.  The pancakes were yummy!  Here are some pictures of our Mystery Matter activity:
